The first episode after the recording of out first Pissedon Podcast episode - we'll give you the link as soon as Agnes gets it all together!
HGTV vs apocalyptic TV - guess who wins in our minds.
Agnes's needy dog Nox is a recurring theme today - there was no editing her out! But it was Mar Sulaika's seagull that segued into Eddie from Frasier.
Agnes, the Gramma and daycare person, discusses her upcoming role as teacher of a 10-yr-old while running interference with a 2-yr-old.
Dementia, smoking, waking and awakening...

Schitt's Creek and Bob Newhart... and The Birth of Our Brilliant New Idea
Friday Apr 10, 2020
Friday Apr 10, 2020
Please excuse our poor connection at the start...
TV-talk as Schitt's Creek draws to a conclusion - Agnes gets on her soapbox a bit about gay issues - and she's a little out of touch with current TV so discussed Bob Newhart... which led to Kim's Convenience and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
If you are of a faith related to the next convo, please excuse any ignorance we show, it's certainly not meant to offend and we are open to education.
Finally you bear witness to how new ideas are born and the inspiration of... Hello! Conversation!
Stayed tuned to Pissed on Podcast!

Frustration: Technology and Covidiots to Working Moms and Malibu North
Monday Apr 06, 2020
Monday Apr 06, 2020
Agnes' frustrations with technology opened up MarSulaika's frustration with neighbours who refuse to respect the physical distancing regulations in place to deal with COVID.
Mar Sulaika asks when Agnes started to rebel which of course was the perfect segue into Harry Potter and the traditional roles of women (which almost got Agnes onto her soapbox!)
Next, questions about a remote air force station leads to ferry routes and the looking up of Malibu North.
Mar Sulaika discusses the correlation between writing and jazz which relates to Ron Howard... of course...??
We end on quite a chuckle today so stick with us to the very end.
Editorial comment: Yes, "dick around" is a technical term. :-)

Or maybe we don't need threads.
COVID in Care Facilities is a very real stress - Mar Sulaika's mom is in care (but sense of humour prevails if you want to check out her latest article, link at the bottom.)
Jann Arden entered the discussion, both as a fellow podcaster and as an author.
What happens after COVID? We wade in with some opinions. Add yours at our website.
Agnes discusses her need to create a language alert to stay on Apple Podcast's good side. And of course Agnes can't resist trying to technologize Mar Sulaika!
Note from Agnes: please be patient with the sound as I try to find the right equipment mix to keep my two-year-old grandson in sight while tuning out his activity of choice! #mycovidchoices

COVID-steria to COVID-haustion With Banana Bread Tucked in The Middle
Monday Mar 30, 2020
Monday Mar 30, 2020
There truly is some hysteria to this COVID-thing, and sometimes it can be difficult to separate oneself especially when, as Mar Sulaika knows, one's parent is in the midst of the unknown.
The COVID-haustion refers to Agnes doing double duty as Gramma and as companion to an Alzheimer's client. Asleep after the second glass of wine? Yikes! that's a first!
We separated ourselves from CV this episode with some discussion on the podcast editing process, societal changes that may or may not (or should) grow out of this, comfort food (aka banana bread), and Oosh! Agnes gives Mar Sulaika an assignment!
Agnes opines on how to write like one's self and we crow about Our Generation!

Haha, I look at that title and think - just another conversation between Agnes and Mar Sulaika.
We are all adapting right now to COVID, government rules and responses, and how life has changed. Two Boomer Women manage to find Shakespeare and Greek philosophy in the midst of all that!
The Canadian government has implemented many rules and requests, and also many contingency plans. We appreciate being at an age where the financial impact is not the same as for a young person or a family.
Continued good health!!

COVID-19: Some Facts, Some Reality, Lots of Boomer Opinion
Monday Mar 23, 2020
Monday Mar 23, 2020
Agnes' COVID reality is the presence of her grandsons in her office. The two-yr-old was great because he got screen time with Baby Bum... you'll hear the soundtrack throughout. Apologies as it was impossible to edit out. Apologies also if you find yourself singing "The Wheels On the Bus" for the rest of the day.
Conversation included Mar Sulaika's sister - it may sound hard-hearted but they share a lifetime of history... you'll learn more as time goes on.
As our conversations are wont to do, COVID convo was an obvious lead-in to "Night of The Iguana" and "Sleepless in Seattle"!
Wishing you facts and calm as this "thing" unfolds.

Do we need to issue and language alert? In between conversations about pigeon problems / solutions and men (from good-looking to warriors, how's that for range!) we got into a discussion about children and "bad words" so if you're sensitive to 4-letter words, be prepared.
Mar Sulaika wrote an interesting article about one of her out-and-about observations (pre-COVID) so Agnes decided to add a page to her website. If you've ever considered a blog, it might be interesting to you.
The discussion around warrior men morphed to Netflix and Barbara Corcoran. Agnes' updates on getting this podcast up and running morphed into Apple and apples.
Two editorial corrections:
- David Suzuki was nude, except for a fig leaf
- Barbara Corcoran was on Shark Tank, not Dragon's Den

Story-telling and Gilda Radner to Knee Injuries and Professional Women
Monday Mar 16, 2020
Monday Mar 16, 2020
The transition from our discussion about story-telling morphed quite easily into a chat about the wonderful Gilda Radner. As happens from time to time, our own aches and pains entered theconversation: Agnes' comments on her knee injury led to an interesting discussion of knee braces and Mar Sulaika's dental comments ended up in a discussion about dental schools and professional women.
Please remember that when we discuss anything medical, we speak anecdotally, with no medical training. If Agnes's knee injury sounds like yours, you still need to refer to your own medical specialists for advice on your specific issue.
When the subject of men enters our discussion today, please do not take the comments as derisive. As you get to know us, you'll realize that we do like men, we do also have some opinions that we voice. No offense is meant to our friends, the men.
